I am an evolutionary geneticist who uses phylogenomic and population genetic tools to study marine organisms. My three research foci are allorecognition, origin and dispersal of invasive species, and speciation. I conduct all of my research in collaboration with undergraduate students, many of whom co-author publications with me.
I am an Assistant Professor of Biology at Centre College in Danville, KY. I regularly teach three types of courses:
1) Introductory courses in Biodiversity, Ecology, Evolution, and Genetics
2) Upper-level courses in Caribbean Marine Ecology, Invertebrate Biology, and Macroevolution
3) Special topics courses in Biology of the Appalachian Mountains, Environmental Effects of Coal Mining, Laboratory Techniques in Microbiology, Speciation, and Paleontology
